The USB keyboard will not respond at startup, so I cannot enter Bios or safe mode. They work fine under windows XP. There are no PS2 ports on this computer so I cannot connect a ps2 keyboard. I booted up on a Acronis backup recovery CD but the keyboard and miuse still do not function in that program. I tried a different USB keyboard, and tried using different USB ports, no luck.

I saw on a google search where someone suggested removing and reinstalling the CMOS jumper for a similar problem. I'm a bit leery about this as I don't know what if any problems this may create. 

Is there any way out of this problem?
