    Hi shanemac67,

The Dimension™ 3100 / E310 have an integrated 2D/3D graphics controller built into the Graphics Memory Controller Hub (GMCH) portion of the chipset.

This computer has DC power supply Wattage of 230 W

Below link has the specification of NVidia NVS 290:

    www.nvidia.com/.../quadro_nvs_290_datasheet.pdf

    Overview: http://bit.ly/Xpe85g

This card should be compatible with Dimension 3100. The card should fit in PCI x1 slot.

    Awaiting your response!

I'm not sure about the Quadro, but the HIS 6450 PCI Express 1x will fit the PCI Express 1x slot, and it is getting good reviews.

The Quadro appears to be an old and obsolete product. The 6450 is a modern GPU that supports three monitors, HD video decoding and HDMI audio.
