RAM problems!!

I got a problem with my Dell Dimension 8100, I got 256MB PC800 RDRAM. One week ago I installed WinXP, the first time I shut down my computer, it came with a message:

*** Hardware malfunction

Call your hardware vendor for support. NMI: Parity check / Memory parity error

*** The system has halted***

I don`t really know what the problem is, but i think it is some wiht my memory.

I am mostly a gamer, and sometimes in some games, the computer crack and I have to shut down the computer (can this be a RAM problem, if yes, then what shall I do)

    hey! I think you have to take the ram sticks out, and then put them back in again. My sytem was getting 2 beeps on startup. I did the same and got rid of the problem.

    What do you meen with: "2 beeps on startup"?

    just try what I said to do. my 4300 beeped twice on startup.

    I am afraid it did not changed anything. I took out my four 64MB ram and replaced them again and then I started the computer. At startup the computer did not said anything. Then I entered one of the cracking games and (like allways) after two min. the monitor was gone black.

    Do you (or other) have any idea what the problem can be?

    these forums are so slow to load with a dialup! dam. not every has a cable or DSL. I hope dell knows that.

    anyway try upgrading your video drivers. I know nothing about XP sorry. I got ME. One of my golf games use to go black and the computer froze up until i replaced my video drivers.
