Re: Memory Upgrade

Hello Gent,

I recently purchased a PNY PC2700 512. My question is would it be compatible with my current DELL PC2700 512. or can i use a different manufacturer when it comes to upgrading my memory.

System specs:

2.66 P4
1024 mb
9700 Tx (4.11 catalyst)
Sound Blaster Audigy 2

if it's generic ram it may not work properly, you outta use the memory manufacturers memory selector to select compatible/proper ram modules for your PC, generic may work fine but sometimes not like it should.

While I do agree to stick to recommended memory, pny memory is actually very good stuff.  Assuming you matched the specs, it should work fine.

Personally I love crucial and kingston memory, both have EXCELLENT tech support and lifetime warranties

    Hi,

I just bought a 512mb stick of PNY for my Dim2350 and it seems to work fine. The sales guy at Best Buy (where I bought it) looked it up for me before I bought it so I trusted him. so far, so good..so much faster! good luck, stick it in!
