Ringing fan
I just got my Dimension XPS b800r and at first I didn't notice any remarkable sound coming from the CPU, but the fan rings like a high pitched gong. At one point I got a blue screen on boot that said, "Math co-processor not found, cannot load...," something that had to do with my soundblaster live card. I hope this isn't a precursor to serious problems because of the fan. I'd appreciate any advice.

- Thank you for the reply. I contacted Dell phone support and we were able to isolate the sound to the processor cooling fan. The fan seemed to be snugly connected so a work order to dispatch a tech to replace the fan was initiated. Despite the trouble, my experience with Dell's phone support was the best I've had in nearly twenty years of owning computers.
The math co-processor error has not reoccurred. I'll post the exact if it does. Again thanks.

If you continue to receive the error, can you please post the exact syntax? This will greatly assist me. The two problems are not likely related.
