Booting now only shows Drives A & C. Have Zip, prev. Drive D sharing primary IDE and CDR & CDRW, drives E & F sharing secondary IDE controller. All were working fine. My Device Mgr. now shows primary and secondary controllers (under Hard Disk Controller with exclamation points and says "device not present or not working properly or does not have all drivers installed - code 10" Also, Device mgr. shows two Unknown Devices under Other Devices with exclamation points through them, and "drivers not installed -code 28".

Have tried several reboots with same result. Before this happened, I updated Adaptec EZCD from 3.5b to 3.5c along with HP tool kit, but don't know if this problem is coincidental or not.

Before I start fooling with registry restorations or deleting devices from Device Mgr., wanted to get some ideas.

System is XPS 450, 128 Ram, 14 months old, service tag GLM4M.
