XPS420 RAID/ICH9/8800GT crashes, raid failures, connection problems, bad performance issues

Please.. is there anybody here running an XPS 420 with Vista in RAID without stability issues?

As far as i can see here on the forum, i'm not the only one experiencing: lockups, bad performance, dropping wireless connections and RAID failures in no particular order..

I have a XPS 420 with:

XPS 420 Viiv Q6600 Quad Core Processor 2.40GHz, 1066Mhz FSB, 8MB cache 1
Memory 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 667MHz [4x1024MB] Memory 1
19-in-1 Media Card Reader 1

SINGLE 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT card 1
Hard Drive 1TB Serial ATA Raid 0 Stripe (2x500GB) 7200Rpm Dual HDD Config 1

(now after my WD hardrives having been replaced after a raid failure for the same but new WD drives by Dell installed in RAID1 mode but still not stable and frecuently repairing the volume from errors..:S)

I do not have the Samsung drives

I have disabled the wireless PCI card that wasn't funcioning properly and it seems that it isnt performing well in the system

so bought a different one. I still have connection problems.
It all seems related and then I sumbled across posts here saying its the ICH9 and/or the driver

Or that the system just doesn't support RAID properly..

Also the  GeForce 8800GT initally had some issues with the drivers from the Dell CD so this might also contribute?

Running the latest bios and drivers and windows updates including SP1, still no stabillity.

I've read all the posts here without finding a solution to my problems.. I've run out of options other than to post here and ask again:

Is there anybody running the 420 in RAID on Vista without problems??????

I AM IN GREAT NEED OF A VERY RELIABLE SYSTEM.... HELP IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
