Hello All,

I have an Inspiron 17R-5720 here that seems to be having some serious issues. When I turn it on it isn't able to POST or get to the BIOS. The LCD turn on, immediately is black and I get a beep code of 8 which when I've done research seems to report an LCD failure. I burrowed into it more and tried doing the LCD BIST (I think that's how it's spelled) test and it seems to go successfully as I get all the colours up on the screen. After that I opened the laptop up and reseated the LCD connector on the motherboard but to no avail.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what can be done?
