I have had my laptop for 3-4 years also, and I have had to buy new adapters and a new battery over the years, however until recently the charger was doing it's job and so was the battery. I have had the same charger and battery for well over 12 months now but all of a sudden I got the message, plugged in, not charging. The laptop works ok when it is plugged into the mains but the battery has slowly drained until it now shows 0% available therefore I can't update the bios as it says there has to be at least 10% battery available!! I know the adapter works and is compatible as it worked well for over 12 months so what is the problem?
