BIOS Startup Image Latitude E6400

Good day,

My computer comes up with our Company Logo on startup. This is rather annoying and I would like to remove this.  I have flashed the BIOS with the latest BIOS update from the Dell Support Page, but it is still there.

Does anybody know how I can remove this?

    Hi BrettVanRooyen,

    Welcome to the community.

Are you referring to the Dell logo that comes up as soon as the system is turned on or you are referring to the wallpaper on the desktop?

In case you are referring to the Dell logo that comes up as soon as the system is turned on, it is due to the Dell motherboard and is a default setting which cannot be changed unless of course the motherboard is installed of some other brand. The logo is embedded onto the motherboard and is displayed when the system is turned on.

Let me know the findings. Glad to be of assistance.

    Thanks & Regards

    Good day Chiranjeev

    Thanks for the Reply

Actually it is not the Dell Logo.  When I start my computer our company name is displayed, which is rather annoying.  I would like to change this to say the Dell Logo.  This is not on the Desktop, definately on Startup.

If I understand your answer, then it seems that this is embedded in the Motherboard and cannot be changed except if I change the motherboard?

    Hi BrettVanRooyen,

Thank you for your reply. It appears the motherboard of the system has been replaced and that is the reason the logo has changed. Or the company's logo has been embedded onto the motherboard mechanically which might not be possible to be undone.

And yes, the logo is embedded onto the motherboard and it will not be a good idea to replace the motherboard keeping in mind the cost of the motherboard.

Let me know in case there are any other concerns. Glad to be of assistance.

    Thanks & Regards
