Dell Latitude E4300 ON-Reader location

Hi.

Can someone tell me please where the software and data for the Dell Latitude E4300 ON-Reader is located?

Is it at the normal hard disk drive located just in a special partition there? Or is there another drive especially for it like a small flash media device or something like that?

The ON Reader is stored on a partition of your hard drive and uses the laptop's CPU and RAM. The actual ON ECM module was an add-on about the size of a WWAN card. It's all inclusive and operates totally separate from the rest of the laptop.

The whole point of ON was to quickly boot your laptop like a cellphone and get to essential data, while at the same time using it's own CPU to maximize battery life. When these E4300s started shipping they were advertised as "ON Ready" and you couldn't even order the module. They must have been still working on it or something.

Then they came out with ON Reader and it defeated the whole purpose of ON. I think it confused most people and Dell killed it.

It was a great idea that died an untimely death
