I have a (refurbished) Dell Latitude E6320 laptop, and I was trying to install Windows 7 x64 under UEFI mode. The system would not boot to the install DVD (provided by Dell) with 8GB of RAM (G.Skill F3-10600CL9D-8GBSQ) installed (the system maximum). Instead, all I got was a blank screen, and when I pressed the up or down arrow keys, lines of the F12 boot menu would appear. From this, I was able to access the BIOS settings, etc. I was able to boot from the install DVD once I reinstalled the original memory (4GB). Once I installed Windows, I went back and reinstalled the 8GB of RAM. This time around, Windows would only boot into Recovery Mode. I had to remove one of the RAM modules in order to get it to boot normally.

Bottom line is, UEFI mode seems to be broken on the Latitude E6320 with the memory maxed out. With 8GB of RAM, I was only able to boot the installation DVD under Legacy Mode.

Has anyone else had a problem similar to this?
