Yes, they already work with windows media player. Did you uninstall some software recently because it will work with dell's default setup.

No, I haven't. What happened was, I had to re-load the original image on the hard drive due to a virus I had recieved, and when I did, it stopped working with WinAMP and Windows Media Player. Any solutions?

Try reinstalling Dell Quickset. Perhaps it has to be installed after installing winamp so it "recognizes" the music programs.

Are the volume buttons at least working? You should see a volume bar appear in the lower right hand side of the the screen once you press a volume button if dell quickset is properly installed

Yes, when I use the volume buttons, the bar does come up, displaying the level of volume, as well as whether or not it is muted. If I am to re-install the QuickSet, I have two questions. First being, where would I get the program again, and the second being should I un-install WinAMP, un-install QuickSet, then re-install WinAMP and then QuickSet?

I re-installed QuickSet, as you said, but WinAMP still doesn't work with the Next Track/Previous Track, Play/Pause, or Stop buttons on the front. The volume control works fine, it's just those buttons. Any other ideas?

Install winamp version 2.81. I can't guarantee it works with your inspiron, but most of the shortcut keys on my dell desktop keyboard work in winamp 2.81.
