intel 945gm driver

Did dell stop providing support for older Laptops? Like the inspiron 1505 ?
On the intel website there are constantly new drivers available for the intel 945GM card, but it doesn't let me install them and refers to dell to look for new drivers.
Anyone knows?

    I got an easy fix for the problem...I uninstalled the old driver from the add/remove software list and after that... the new video driver from intel's website installed without problems.
