Issues with a small printer

Hello everyone,

I am not big on computers and gadgets and that's why I need your help.

Recently I've bought a label writer and I have issues with installing it on my computer.

I know that the device works perfectly, because on my friends computer it works perfectly. But on mine it does not.

My computer is this one: Dell XPS 13 Touch (2016 Rose Gold Edition)

The device I'm using is this one: Dymo LabelWriter 450

If anyone could help me that would be great. The issue is that my computer won't even recognise the device when I plug it in.

Thanks,

This printer does not have a native Windows 10 driver.  According to its manufacturer, the driver should work with 10 if you set it for Windows 7 compatibility mode.

    That's done as shown here:

Oh, okay. That would make sense. I will try the tutorial and installation. I hope it will resolve my issues. Thank you so much for this!
