Physically broken usb-how to replace?

hi
 
my sister snapped the plastic male connector of one of the usb ports on my 5150
 
how can i fix this?

    Add a PCMCIA USB controller ($30-50 or so).

    Fixing the onboard ports means replacing the entire mainboard (a $500 part).

    what is a PCMCIA USB controller?

    A PCMCIA usb controller would be a card you stick in the slot in the laptop.
     
    And, as you were by ejn63, you can't fix your usb port as it's part of the motherboard and would cost about $500.
