RAM Memory Upgrade

Hi guys,

I have a Dell L502x and I'm thinking of upgrading my RAM memory. I want to know if my laptop is compatible with this one Corsair CMSX16GX3M2A1600C10 16GB Vengeance Performance So-Dimm 1600MHz CL10 DDR3 ?

CPU : QuadCore Intel Core i7-2720QM, 3000 MHz

From what I read it should work, but I want to be sure.

Thanks!

    Hi noname25,

    Thank you for the reply.

In the post mentioned by you the maximum memory connected to a single slot is 8 GB and the memory mentioned on the first post is of 16 GB so it may not function.

4 GB is the maximum memory recommended on a single slot on Dell XPS l502x.

Also, you may refer to page 94 of the manual by clicking the link mentioned below:

    http://bit.ly/R1Vz5s

Please ensure you update the BIOS before putting the new memory. Please click the link mentioned below which will take you to the drivers website:

    http://dell.to/QjjZDA

Enter the Service Tag of the computer and choose the Operating System installed on the computer. Please update the latest version of BIOS available.

NOTE: Ensure that the battery is more than 30% charged and AC Adapter is connected during the BIOS update.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks & Regards
