Hi,

my Dell Insprion 8550 suffers a weird problem: Display settings should be at 1920*1200. But after booting, the display is changed to the suboptimal 1280*800 settings. If I change and reboot, it will again just take a few seconds for this to happen. The problem started after running a program which forces a 800*600 display mode. Dell Customer Support seems to encounter the problem for the first time. Does anyone here know about that? (system restore has not worked)
