I'm disappointed in the quality control on the 2407 WFP panels. My first 2407 WFP was DOA. It wouldn't even turn on -- no sign of life when operating the power button. It took several phone calls and 30 minutes with the offshore tech support people to get them to agree it was DOA. What a waste of time.

At least the replacement panel arrived promptly the next day. The first DOA panel was made in Mexico. The replacement 2407 WFP is made in China. The new panel worked great for about a month. No dead pixels and picture was flawless. HOWEVER, it is now failing intermittently. Here are the symptoms:

Unit "turns on" fine -- the power button and source indicator both turn green. Then, it shows a picture for about 1/2 a second after which the picture immediately shuts off similar to power-save mode. The buttons however are still green. During the split second where the picture is on, it looks completely fine.

Second test: I disconnected all unnecessary cables from the back of the monitor, only power and DVI cable are connected. After turning on the monitor, again, I get my windows desktop for about 1/2 second before the picture turns off again. 2407 is still showing green #2 and power button.

Third test: Disconnected everything but the power cable. Monitor turns on in "Power-save" mode with amber buttons. I press the "menu" button on the monitor and I get a 1/2 second of the blue message box saying that no sources are connected after which the picture turns off again. Buttons stay green for a few seconds (which should be the normal duration of the message) before it goes back to power save.

I got lucky earlier today and managed to get the monitor to actually work for about 15 minutes after which it returned to the failure mode described above.

Anyone else have a similar problem? I assume the unit is simply defective and I will have to RMA for my third 2407WFP.
