Dell 2007WFP Greenhorn
Just purchased my Dell 2007WFP a few days ago. RT803 - (V1B22) Prior and after my purchase - verified twice - there is no any pixel issues. From what I've checked, no banding or any other problems whatsoever. I've made a habit of lurking into my Eizo setups and always checked their screen mileage. That is the main reason to post here.
I wanted to verify with you, although the service folks over the phone told me this is normal. Is it really normal for 2007WFP to count working hours, even if the same is not working? I mean, not in standby, but when really in OFF state? No operational, no Greenish or orange colour, but no lights at all. Sure, still connected with power wire, but not working. Is it OK that all this time for 2007WFP -once you continue working is added as working time in "Times Used" details inside Service menu?
The only way is to unplug it from the wall to stop doing that. If this is normal, then this is the first LCD I've seen doing that. Most of the LCD screens I've been working, count only the time while screen is really ON. That is all fine, just want to hear from you that note of verification. I've noticed (with default factory colour setup/settings ) the moment I engage the service screen (menu with "+" then "-") the picture gets perfect. I mean, although this might be a subtle change, it is very profound.
White receives just right amount of whiteness, fonts are more prominent, and there is that nice touch of completeness for start... before I start seriously toying with setups. So could someone please tell me how to have this changes permanently? I want the same picture, exactly the same as when service mode screen pops out? Momentarily these changes are visible. But once this menu is closed, so are the changes gone.
