S3220DGF, two with different firmware

Hello, I have two S3220DGF monitors. I purchased them a few months apart and noticed that they do not have identical refresh rates, see pics. The only difference that I can see is that they have different firmware. Is it the firmware that is the cause of the difference in refresh rates? I would like to run them at 120Hz but only the second newer monitor gives me that option. Would updating the firmware give me the extra functionality? If so where do I get update as it is not on the Dell website or am I just out of luck? Thanks.

    Dell added the 120hz option in the 2nd or 3rd round of firmware.  I have 3 devices with two different firmware versions.  M3C101 does not do 120hz.  Note that my M3C103 firmware has a different top frequency based on the cables.

    M3C101 59.95hz 143.91 HDMI

    M3C103 59.95hz 120hz 165.08 Displayport

    M3C103 59.95hz 120hz 143.91hz HDMI

    Not sure why you are running them at 1920x1080?

    Open both Menu- Others. What are the Firmware for both?

    See the online S3220DGF User's Guide pages 17-18.

    HDMI maximum = 2560x1440 60Hz/120Hz/144Hz
    HDMI 1920x1080 = 60Hz/120Hz

    DP maximum = 2560x1440 60Hz/120Hz/165Hz
    DP 1920x1080 = 60Hz/120Hz

    What I would do is run each S3220DGF by itself using the same RTX 2070 DP out port and same DP to DP cable. Test them one at a time.

    Then use the same RTX 2070 HDMI out port and same HDMI to HDMI cable and test them one at a time.

    Well I was using 1920x1080 because the text is easier to read and im not getting any younger.

    As for the firmware the older monitor has M3C101 and the newer one has M3C102.

    I switched the resolution to 2560x1440 on both monitors and on the older monitor I only get 143.91Hz and 59.95Hz, on the newer monitor I get 193.91Hz, 120Hz, and 59.95Hz.

    So I am not getting the 120Hz option on the older monitor.  I tried both of them one at a time and get the same rates as listed above.  Any ideas on why I'm not getting the 120Hz on the older monitor?
