U2312HM, green lines
My Dell monitor U2312HM shows green horizontal flickering lines all over the display as I connect it through HDMI to DVI-D cable from my MSI laptop as an extended screen. How to resolve this issue?
I just bought the new DVI-D dual link cable but still not working. I doubt that it is a hardware issue. I have updated the graphics driver of my laptop also. Here is the picture of my monitor. PLEASE HELP.

Thanks for the fast reply Chris,
It shows No DVI-D Cable; I think the monitor is fine. But please help in how to resolve this issue?

I would remove the MSI laptop from the troubleshooting. Test the U2312HM DVI in port on a different computers DVI out port. If the U2312HM works on different computer, the fault is your MSI laptop.

I ran the Built-in Diagnostics; I did not see any error. However, green lines are still there when I connect the DVI-D cable.

Thanks, Chris, for your reply; which is the best way to connect the monitor to the laptop ( my laptop doesn't have VGA, DVI-D, or DV port)

That means the fault is either the MSI laptop HDMI video out port or the HDMI cable to converter to DVI-D cable.

Now run the Built-in Diagnostics to show full color screens. During this test, do you see the green lines on non-green colored screens?

Run the stand alone Self-Test found on page 37 in the online U2312HM User's Guide. What are the results?
