Local Area Connection/Dimension9100
My modem shuts off and on due to message stating First "local area connection" and under that -"network cable unplugged". SBC replaced their modem that burned out and I replaced the filter cord and the ethernet cable and I still get message about every 10 minutes, any suggestions?????

My DSL modem has a setting called "Keep the Connection Alive Period" which is the time the connection stays active wothout any activity. See if you can find that in your setup page and chnage the value to 0 (never disconnect).
