Wireless card works, but how should I control it?
I have recently purchased an i8600 with an Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 (802.11b/g) Internal Wireless card. I am connected with very few problems or issues. My understanding is that windows is managing my wireless connection rather than the intel card managing it. Please correct me if I'm wrong as this is all very new to me. If I do have a choice between XP controlling the wireless or Intel controlling it, is there one method that is preferable? I tend to leave well enough alone when things are working.
I also think that I am connecting through an unsecured connection. Am I correct to assume that I should want my wireless connection to be "secure". Is this easy to remedy? Any help is appreciated.
