Wireless device working but won't find connections
I have two E1705 both running Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit with Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG cards. Last month the wireless seemingly stopped working on computer A, it was not able to find any networks. Then when I had it diganose the problem it came up with the message "The Windows Wireless Service is not running on this computer" with an option to "Start Windows Wireless Service". However, when I try to start the wireless service it says that Windows cannot resolve the problem. I have swaped out wireless cards and found that was not the problem, I have deleted drivers reinstalled them and updated them and none of that seemed to work.It seems that the wireless is working but won't look for connections. In the meantime I am using a LAN cable and my internet is fine. On computer B I have no problems, but when I switch hard drives the problem seems to stay with computer A's hard drive. Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions?
