Wireless Keeps Dropping Out

Hi All,
hopefully someone has an idea of what is wrong so here goes.
I have a D505 but the wireless occasionally drops out, it re-connects immediatley but it does it a few times a day. There is no pattern to it and it is only the D505 affected because my Playstation 3 has no issues at all.
I have the laptop on my home network and the other problem is that if I try to transfer files from my desktop to my laptop the wireless drops out immediatley every time.
Anyone have any clue's.
The wireless card is an Intel® Pro MiniPCI if that helps.
Cheers

in device manager you can tweak your intel card. like set the channel to your router channel and so on. could be one of these setting are giving you a problem.

I didnt know there was a setting program for the adapter, but I've tried adjusting the settings and its still the same. I'm guessing the wireless card needs changing.

I had the same problem on xp and I matched the channel to the router and I think what fixed the drops was changing the aggresive roaming to low.

The model of the card is an INTEL PRO/WIRELESS 2100 WLAN.

Hi Boppo, sorry I didn't reply, yes I did try what you suggested except I cant find any setting to do with aggressive roaming. Still the same problem though.

in device manager under network adapters you should see your card. Double click on it and then click on advanced and find roaming aggresiveness and change it to low.
