Optiplex 3090, DP, E2422HS

Hello everyone,

I brought a Dell Optiplex 3090 core i5 with E2422HS monitor. I had problem with monitor specially with DP. It's flickering and make sound ticking like when you hit the tip of finger on the table. Specially on videos or picture almost black. But when I'm using VGA or HDMI port, this problem is not occur. Can anyone can help me?

    @bradthetechnut

     Thank you a lot for supporting and answer

    I brought many DP cables the last one is VESA certified in first use the monitor kept flickering and make sound i frustrated  , when i used second time i blow the ends to remove dust if exist in ends cable's and put it tight in ports the cable works excellent

    the conclusion of my experience with Displayport is :

    1- use VESA certified cable.

    2- make sure the ends cable are clean and no dust .

    3- put the cable tight in monitor and PC

    Try a different DP cable.  Preferably not the cheapest, but more of a name brand.  One that's VESA Certified may be optimum.  I've had defective generic brand new cables before.

    I'm not sure if it's the monitor or not.  May be try Dell Support Assist to make sure drivers are updated?

    Also, how do you want the monitor hooked up?  If it works on HDMI...

    Also, it's a brand new monitor, right?  May be chat or call Dell directly as it is under warranty.
