Dell Optiplex tower series 6 use different 2.5 hdd caddy in high end, mainstream, entry level model while reuse same design in same class.

Previous Optiplex (series 5) MT (7070, 7060, 7050, 7040 MT etc.) all use clam shell chassis design. this has a cramped chassis interior space for air flow etc.
When choosing Dell optiplex for gaming pc mod, preferably use either older (series 4) chassis (9020, 7010, 790 MT etc.) which are classic ATX mini tower, or the newest series 6 (7080/7090/7000/5080 etc.) chassis which have more room, albeit completely proprietary and cannot use non-Dell motherboard.
