Redhat 8.0 Dual Core Support?
Our software vendor supplies a custom linux distro (based heavily on redhat 8.0) - they use the 2.4.22-abi kernel (which does have SMP support-we currently run on two poweredge 1800's dual xeon 3ghz).
Will this kernel support your new PentiumD Dual Core systems (such as the Power Edge SC430)?
What about the SATA controllers?
I have googled - but can't seem to find anything other than RedHat ES 4 supporting dual core intel chips.
Thanks
