I'm implementing a ScaleIO solution with our vSphere 6.x. I'm aiming to use Datastore cluster with Storage DRS. I was wondering about the use of the I/O metric for SDRS. I would guess that it should be useless in a ScaleIO system?

so far I think that I will use Thick Volumes in the cluster with Thin vmdk for the VMs and a fully automated SDRS for space capacity only.

are you guys using it any other way?
