I did my fair share trying to search for answer to my problem, without definite "yes" or "no" though. I have MD3600i with multiple SAS HDDs split into 5 LUNs. Each LUN has 1 partition formatted as ext4. Currently I have 1 Linux host connected to the MD3600 with all LUNs mounted. The question: can I connect 2nd Linux host to the MD3600 and have both hosts access same LUNs simultaneously, i.e. sharing the data? Logic says it can't be done, since MD3600 doesn't deal directly with ext4. What confuses me - why can I group two (or more) hosts in the MDSM and map LUN to this group? Does it imply that group can have physical access to the LUN but it can't be same partition?
