Precision 7810 external hard drive not working USB 3.0
i perches Dell Precision 7810
usb 2.0 mouse key board pen drives working when i plug external hard drive it showing disk drive not open in my computer and manage store also i face issue from 2 months before it is working now not working i did try format new installation driver update bios update
please give me any solution

HDD being used externally requires 12v power and uses USB for data. If an adapter is being used that only plugs into USB (USB only has 5v power), it's not going to work unless it's an SSD or laptop 2.5" HDD that only requires 5v power. HDD being used externally requires docking station (comes in single, dual, multiple, etc.) that plugs into USB and household outlet.

The issue is with same port or the device it self, check the drive in another system, may be power allocation issue
