Precision T3400 keeps re-booting...

when it tries to boot from HD. I checked with new RAM chips, I re-seated the CPU, and video card, there is no accumulated dust and the problem exists... But with a boot CD it works OK, I can explore the HD etc. Could it be the PSU?

I just now saw your post that reflashing BIOS worked.  Glad you got it working.  It must have ran long enough for you to do it.

Replace size 2032 CMOS battery first.  Even if it seems unrelated, it's solved boot loop problems before.  Duracell or Energizer is suggested as they last around 5 yrs.  Sony only lasted me 2.

If it's not that, it could be a PSU on it's way out.  I've had it happen before.  But it's a little hard to tell from here.

Does run a while, then reboot out of the clear blue or is it just stuck in a boot loop?  Both are PSU signs.  Any error codes/lights?
