I am using a T5810 and somehow I cannot enter the BIOS anymore.
I just set the boot mode to legacy in the BIOS did a restart, but now the second DELL screen is not showing up anymore.
Usually it went: DELL logo, Display HDDs with possibilitly to enter RAID, DELL logo with option to press F12 for single startup screen (this one is gone now.)
Hitting F2 or F12 during startup does nothing (keyboard is working). The workstation always boots my windows disk.
Is there another way to enter the BIOS?
I can still boot from USB.
Should I try a BIOS recovery?
Is there a way to switch back to UEFI from within Win10?
I have been unable to update my Bios from the A29 version to the current version A34. No matter how many times I download the update from the Dell Driver Center, the update is never acknowledge as A34 by my System Page. The update installs and completes itself, but the update never registers on my System Page. The old update of A29 continues to show.
A Dell Tech Support person tried to do the same via a virtual session, but came across the same issue as me. They suggested that I copy the A34 Bios Update onto a USB drive and simply download it into the Bios. Unfortunately, I am NOT ABLE TO ACCESS the BIOS no matter how many times I hit F12 or whether or not a use a wireless or wired keyboard. Makes no difference.
I spoke to another Dell Tech over the phone and they indicated that if I am no longer able to access the Bios using F12 or F2, I need a new motherboard. Unfortunately, the motherboard for my T5810 has been discontinued by Dell and his no longer available. Never mind that my computer is only 4 years old, built in August of 2017.
