I have problems with flickering graphics/colors/lines on my laptop display. I have been trying to find out if it is the display, or the graphics card that is the problem, but i'm stuck. Here are some info and findings.
The problem is visible in BIOS (also lates version), on fresh installed WIN 11 and WIN 10, when running diagnostics tools etc with latest graphics driver installed (also tried older drivers).
The problem is NOT visible on external display
The problem is not visible all the time, it depends on what is displayed on the screen. It' might flicker when just showing the desktop, while not when opening a new window. But in general visible most of the time, including on the log on window after restart...
I have run the BIST-test and the diagnose tools, but nothing wrong.
I am thinking it is something wrong with the graphics card...
Stupid question maybe, but is it possible to run the PC without the NVIDIA graphics card installed? Intel UHD Graphics 630 also on the system

I have exact same issue. the flickering is Horizontal . Mostly random, only seen on main screen & not on extended screens. Repeated restart or waiting for a while solve sometimes but need a solution .
Hey MechCad, did you ever get a resolution to this as my laptop has started to do this as well, as you described - horizontal lines that flicker every now and again.
But mine only does it in Ubuntu, not windows and just started one day, not after an update or such like - very weird.
I thought it may be duff Video RAM, but it passed the test when I tested it.
I am experiencing a recurring screen flickering issue with my laptop. The flickering occurs intermittently during regular use, irrespective of the load on the system. I have verified that there is no significant load or resource consumption when the issue arises. Interestingly, the flickering is only present on the laptop's built-in display and does not affect the external monitor when connected.
I have already attempted troubleshooting by updating all relevant drivers, but the issue persists. This problem occurs approximately two to three times a week, without any clear pattern, and affects both the Windows and Ubuntu operating systems on my dual-boot setup.
I have explored various potential solutions, but I have been unable to resolve the issue. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in diagnosing and resolving this problem. I have attached videos for reference.
