Laptop models with 2 usb controllers
Hi everyone,
I work for a research lab and we use mobile eye trackers to run some experiments. These connect to USB ports, and are powered through it. To achieve the max frequency of sampling, the device needs (at least from what the API warnings show) all the bandwidth from a USB controller. Right now we are running the task using Precision M4800 laptops (see the specs in the image attached) that has 2 USB controllers. My guess is that one of them controls all the input devices from the laptop (track pad and keyboard) and the other takes control of the usb ports). I cannot find in the specs from other workstations how many controllers they have, just the number of ports. Does any of you know of some modern models of laptops that have 2 USB controllers too? We want to replace some of the devices we have with newer ones, but I want to make sure we get ones that will allow us to run our eye trackers without problems (I already tried with other devices that only have a single USB controller and we get variability in the sampling rate).
Thanks for your help,
Eduardo
