Paper Stops Printing mid page

I have a Dell 1700 laser printer, which when it prints it stops feeding about half way on the printer.
The half of the page it prints, prints fine but it will not feed or print the rest of the paper.
I called tech support and they said it might be the arm or roller pads.
I ordered the parts.
I changed out the roller pads and looked at the gear that was sent but it did not go to the arm that is on the bootom of the printer that we were talking about on the phone.
It went to the gears on the side of the printer which all work fine.

Is there anyone who could tell me what is wrong with it before we spend any more money on parts or a new printer?
Thanks for your assistance.

    Hi gobo,

This issue could be cause by a sensor that is not activated or is not working, it could be cause by the exit sensor or the fuser itself if you dont want to spend more money on parts try to call Dell and send it to the depot for repair. Hope this helps.

    Sekhijo,

    Thanks for the help.

I did check the sensor at the front but did not see one in the back or know where the fuser is?

When I opened it up to check, I did find bits of paper a roller to one of the cartridge replacement and a small piece of plastic.

I thought that after clearing all this out it would have worked but it stops printing inside now, only printing about a fourth of the paper.

    Any suggestions are apprciated.

The only suggection I recieved from the Dell Tech was to buy the rollers and replace, which I did, but that wasn't the problem.

I can get a new one for $200 but hate to chunk his one because I know it's still functional, just haven't figured it out yet.
