7609WU, DP not working
I have a 7609WU projector that the DP stopped working. Dell sent me a replacement and surprisingly the refurbished projector had the same issue. Scans by the DP but doesn't see a signal. I received another one refurbished one today and to my disbelief it also has the same issue! No signal on the DP
I've tried swapping DP cables, multiple notebooks and I can only use VGA, HDMI, and component. If I plug the cable into a dell monitor it works as expected.
The original projector worked fine, for over a year then just stopped working on the DP. What are the chances dell sent two projectors with the same issue?

The same odds that I have. I have two of these 7609s and neither of them work with a display port signal. Dell's support is pretty non-existent for these. The same computers using HDMI, display with no problems, but our issue is that we paid $4k for each of two graphics cards, and they only have DP outputs. You'd think that Dell might join the 21st century and use 4 HDMI outputs instead, but I guess that's asking too much.

Did you change computer when the problem came?
Was the problem solved and how?
As I use a Matrox box with display port connection I have to solve the problem.
Connecting the Precision M4800 to the 7609WU projector with a HDMI/HDMI cable works fine.
