When using the Dell 3200MP, the colors displayed are off from the colors on the PC. For instance, a bright yellow on the PC is displayed as a greenish yellow through the projector. I looked at and changed the Color settings on the projector, but they don't seem to help at all. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue? Because I work at an architectural/design company, exact colors are a necessity when presenting to clients.
the problem is the projector. read some reviews color is an issue in most of them. don't be drawn in by price, low price- low quality. thier projectors are garbage.
Most DLP projectors, and certainly the 3200MP use one color wheel to project the image onto the screen. Because of this, it is hard to adjust one color without effecting the others. LCD projectors on the otherhand use three LCD's. This allows you to adjust the red, blue, or green independant of each other. This is why DLP projectors have color temperature settings instead of independant color controls. There are advantages and disadvantages to both technologies. You made the right choice in getting DLP. Even though you may sacrifice a little in terms of color accuracy, you more than make up for it in contrast ratio and brightness. Hopefully your colors are not too far off. If they are you may have some settings that need to be changed.
