Hello, It depends how the logical disk has been configured to whether the data will be saved, if you buy a new drive to match the capacity and speed of the other drives you have from somewhere like this.
Some raid controllers give the option to rebuild the raid onto the new disk inserted if you still have the failing one installed too. If you can specify some more information on your setup i'm sure a lot of people on here will be very knowledgeable on your issues!
