Well, I just got my new DELL pc to my home, and neither of the two DVD drives worked... It seems that they are not in the System->Device Manager or on the My Computer. Here are the HW specifications:

Dell Dimension 8400 Series Pentium 4 Processor

16X DVD-ROM and 16X DVD+/-RW

Now, i searched on the topics in the support.dell.com pages, and i verified everything(i even did a config.sys and autoexec.bat test, but both files are blank)... but the pc doesnt seem to know the drives are there. Is this a hardware problem? Should I open the case and verify connections to the motherboard are ok? Will this end my warranty with dell?
