I have a samsung DVD/CD-RW combo drive and was trying to update the drivers when it it disapeeared. Now when I look at device manager and search for new hardware it comes up saying the device is an 'AXV CD/DVD-ROM SCSI cd rom device'. And the drive has now changed from the D:\ drive to the F:\ drive im exploere and my computer and when I put a disc in and try and look at the contents it says 'please insert a disk into drive F:\' even though there is one there and it makes no attempt to read it.
I have a dimension 4500, XP home.
Any ideas on what to do?
