I have an INSPIRON 1720 Laptop which is just outside of the year guarantee and it suffered complete Hard Drive failure (for no reason I might add). No I need to replace the hard drive and get the computer operating again.

Firstly: How can I find out what kind of Hard Drive I need to purchase.

Secondly: What software and or drivers do I need to instal to get the computer back to its original settings, (the way it was when I received it). i.e. do I need to reinstall the windows recovery disk and use the drivers disks?
