Start Up

I was wondering if anyone knew how to change what pops up, with the start up of your computer? Like now when I first turn my computer on, all these programs start running on there on, and I don't want it that way. I would like to only go into the programs when I need them, not when I turn my computer on.

you will need to modify the startup. go to  start>run>type   msconfig

you have two options. on the general tab click where it says selective startup and uncheck the load startup items option. click apply close and restart the computer. then you will have a message saying you have used the system configuration utility. click the checkbox that says don't show this message again and then click ok.

the other option will be going to the startup tab and uncheking the programs that you don't want running when you turn on the computer. click apply close and restart the computer. then you will have a message saying you have used the system configuration utility. click the checkbox that says don't show this message again and then click ok.
