WinDVD - Cannot reinstall
I had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall all operating files and programs.
This was done under the instruction of the Dell help line.
When I try to reinstall my version of WinDVD I receive the following series of messages:
C:\windows\system32\cmd,exe
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications.
A severe error has occurred
This is not a qualified Dell machine
Please advise how to proceed?
Machine Inspiron 1100
Operating XP home
WinDVD V4.0.11.30
Dell part no. 8T826

How was this issue resolved. I have been in telephone limbo and am very frustrated.
