I have an Insprion 8600, recently I got the blue screen of death when i rebooted my laptop. When i went to restart it again windows would not load. So I put in my Windows CD and tried to reintsall Windows, it would not let me. So I then tried to delete the partition and reinstall everything from a clean slate but it would not let me delete the partition either, said it was could not delete it. The error I am getting from reintall is that a error occured so it could not reinstall windows. I do notice when I tried to delete the partition that particular one is listed as unknown rather than FAT or NTSF. I am not sure if i should get a new hard drive or what is causing the problem. I did a search and did not find anything to help. Sorry if this is in the wrong topic.
