We are about to replace an DMX-2 (about 70 TB and 24, 2 GB fa's). I'm of the opinion that we should go with a DMX-4 (still working on the size, FA's and the like). First I like DMX for the scale, the reliable, the power of symcli and ECC and lets face it, its what I know.
There are forces (evil in my opinion) that want to go with a bunch (number?) of cx3 type arrays because somehow this fits the whole Linux, cluster, open source model. I think this is a disaster from a knowledge standpoint but I doubt the powers care much about that. We are primarily a Oracle db shop, sizes from 500 MB to 7 TB, about 90 of them, some flat file processing but not a whole bunch.
I'm just looking for some chat, any particular concerns, any big cx3 support. Anything you got.
