ESA mgmt pack for V-PLEX integration vCOPS 5.8.x
Hi,
IHAC that is doing PoC with ESA mgmt pack onto his existing vCOPS environment (v.5.8.x), but current installed mgmt pack (v 2.4.1 - build: 31441) does seems to have issues with collecting metrics of the V-PLEX - see attached some screenshots and the error that is showed in logs vCOPS on EMC adapter:

You need GeoSynchrony 5.3 to use ESA so the customer would have to upgrade as they are at 5.2: https://support.emc.com/docu54119_EMC_Storage_Analytics_2.4.1_Release_Notes.pdf

Hi Drew - thanks for the update - I already send this information to customer but am wondering why the instalation and integration of the mgmt pack in vCOPS did not give us an error when deployed ? And secondly, we are getting metrics from the adapter but not all metrics, how is this possible ?

In 2.4.1 we do not do a version check for VPLEX. That is something that will be in future versions. The reliance up to this point has been on the Release Notes. As far as your partial functionality, since the version is not checked during metric collection, there are some things that will still work, some that will not as 5.3 is not that hugely different than 5.2.
