Vostro 3590 unable to boot Windows

Recently I went to go use my laptop, and it just stayed on the loading screen for Windows 10. I had to use the laptop, so I decided to use a USB drive with Linux on it temporarily and fix it later, which boots perfectly fine. Now, I made a USB drive with the Windows 10 installer on it, but it has the same issue when I try to boot to my old install, of just constantly staying on the loading screen. When I went to start it the first time I had issues, I tried to start it and it said something about doing an automatic firmware update. In the BIOS it says that it is unable to do a legacy boot, which I believe my old install was using. After it said that I figured that I would just reinstall Windows, but that also doesn't seem to be working.

You haven't mentioned running a complete system diagnostic (F12 at powerup), but that is a good idea to begin with.

Good to know Dell Diagnostic pass the computer's hardware tests....

Please try to boot the windows 10 USB recovery media by using F12 key. This will get you into Dell Preboot menu:

    1. Insert the windows 10 recovery media into a USB port, and then power off computer.

    2. Power the computer on, quickly start tapping the F12 key continuously until you see Preparing one time boot menu in the upper right corner of the screen.

    3.  At the boot menu, select the windows 10 USB recovery media under UEFI BOOT, hopefully you are able to see the windows 10 install image now.

If you are able to see windows 10 USB drive in Dell Preboot  menu and tried to install windows 10, and still no success then I suggest you do a clean install of windows 10.

I mean, since it is unable to boot a Windows 10 install & a Windows 10 installer, I don't see why it would boot a Windows 10 recovery disk. But I still tried it anyway, and no, it won't boot a Windows 10 recovery disk either. It just stays on the Windows 10 loading screen with the Dell logo as it does with the others.
