Did you download the 32 bit   HERE  or the 64 bit?  You have to have the appropriate drivers.

 

If you have a Dell supplied OEM version of Vista it is 32 bit.

Yes I have the the 32bit driver, and confirm I have the 32bit version of Vista.   

 

I've downloaded the file twice now, assuming that the first download may have been corrupted.

Did you get this resolved?  I started a similar thread as my first search (for whatever reason) did not turn up this thread.

 

I have the exact same issue. Trying to install a driver that has been around for months on 2 new vista machines.  (R153714) Exact same result.  It pretends to start, you get the wonderful blue vista spinning circle, then nothing.

 

Plus there are three setup files, one in the install directory, one in the x86 directory and one in the x64 directory. I assumed one of the first two was the right one, but they both did the same thing (nothing).  Would love to know how you got this to work!
